  My mother and I had a very disappointing experience at PNC Bank. The bank was open until 1:00 p.m., and we arrived at 12:23 p.m. We were there because my father had recently passed away, and we needed to provide his death certificate, remove his name from the account, and sign the paperwork to add me to the account. It took a great deal of courage for my mother to walk into the bank during such a difficult time. Instead of receiving compassion or assistance, we were immediately told by the front desk that we would have to schedule an appointment, even though the task was simple and there was still plenty of time before closing. The banker Gene we scheduled the appointment with then walked by and mentioned that the process would only take a few minutes on Monday. I asked if, since he was already there and it was such a quick process, he could help us then. Gene looked down and simply said, “No.” There was no explanation, no offer to help, and not even a simple “I’m sorry for your loss.” The only assistance we received was when my mother asked if he could make a copy of the death certificate, which he did before handing it back. That was the extent of the interaction. Customer service is about more than completing transactions—it’s about treating people with empathy, especially when they are grieving. We left feeling dismissed and unsupported. After leaving PNC, we went to Bank of America, where they immediately helped my mother with her accounts and handled everything professionally and compassionately. I hope PNC provides better training to its employees on customer care and empathy. A few minutes of kindness can make an enormous difference to someone going through one of the hardest moments of their life.

  This bank at this area is the worst for customer service. They have 2 people in the Bank but only do loans or services other than depositing your checks and money. I was told that you have to use the ATM machine to make deposits. In the meantime there are 2 people standing around doing NOTHING. Waiting for some people to make loans. PNC needs to change this BAD so-called customer service. PNC bought out my old bank and I'm stuck with bad banking. I was looking for a PNC bank that is open on Saturday. None available only the one that does loans only, really!!!! I miss my old Bank that was bought out. Do not join PNC bank. Stay away!!!

  PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS BRANCH. This branch should be close. I am with almost 12 years with PNC and this is the worst branch and customer service I have ever seen. What is the point to keep it open with 4 employees that they can't help anything. Video teller said she can't help and employee said they can't either.
