- CCCocoJul 24, 20261.0Horrible customer service! Due to my work schedule, I asked a family member to stop by to make a cash deposit into one of my accounts there and provided the necessary info they would need. Elizabeth refused to accept a cash deposit without my family member being on the account or having my debit card. The alternatives offered was to allow them to deposit a check, money order, or to have me come in myself. I am only assuming they would have been more than happy to have sold a money order. So, imagine my frustration with having to leave work to meet my family member at the bank to make the deposit. The cashier barely looked at the ID that I provided or put the same cash through any extra layer of security when it was being deposited. The deposit was made within minutes while Elizabeth watched from the other end of the desk. They could have ID my relative, made them fill out a deposit slip, requested that they verify pertinent info about me (ie address/DOB), or used their special tools that we know they have to make sure that no fake bills were being passed. It wasn't a huge sum of money, but this branch wants to make it difficult for their long term customers. I have several other banks that have never given me a problem in accepting a cash deposit. Some even help you if you don't have the account number. I'll never refer anyone to PNC. If I could give a lower rating, I would.
