- CCCassidySep 30, 20241.0Today my partner's card locked when he tried to use it at the pump at the gas station we visit 2x/day. Chat customer support couldn't help. Phone support couldn't help. The teller in the branch on Meridian accused him of having stole the card EVEN AFTER HE PROVIDED ID. He was then asked for his SSN, the exact balance, and a list of recent transactions. This is after showing the teller his account details from the app. He provided his phone number, which the teller then called without notifying him, and when my partner silenced his phone the teller stared at him and didn't even explain. He then spoke with the bank manager who told him in response to this report, "well you do look run down". Don't bother with South State if you have a beard or a trade job, they'll just say straight your face that you look too poor for them to respect you.

I initially was giving up on buying a house because Veterans United fell through on closing with my VA loan even though they “specialize” in VA loans, I’ll never go through them again. After a horrible experience I’d almost decided to just rent but thankfully I was connected with the amazing broker team at South State! I’ll always recommend them and they really know how to treat people and are incredible at what they do! Had a great experience and when it comes time to buy a house again will be reaching out ! Josh, Michelle, and Nicole who I communicated with the most they were great and again the whole team was incredible!
