I'm 51 years old I've been banking at this Bank since I was 13 back when it was Dallas Teachers Credit Union. The customer service here is HORRIBLE.
I have four different banking accounts at other banks that I never have any problems with Fraud, Customer Service, Customer Care. I understand that rules are in place for good reasons but there are times when common sense and caring for your customers need to override those rules. Here is a great example: My daughter is in Colorado at school she has a debit card. Once again some random fraudulent charge came up on her account and they canceled her card so dad goes in to get a new card for her. I'm actually leaving to go to Colorado un 2 days and thinking I could get a new card for her and take to Colorado to give it to her. Mind blowing concept. Seems way safer than mailing it to the house and then me mailing it to her in 7 to 10 business days. Oh no, that would be way too easy, that would be way too helpful, that would be way too kind. I had a little guy with long fingernails tell me that that's absolutely not possible just can't be done, I asked to speak to the manager and was told that somebody else had already tried to do the same thing and the manager will not allow it. So I call customer service talk to a nice guy he said that it's completely up to the branch manager I'm sure that they could make an exception. I don't have time to drive around to different branches, hat in hand, begging some manager to try to help me out. Yes my daughter has a credit card its not the end of the world but it is such a shame that these people that run these branches don't give a crap about who their customers are and their needs.

I had a great experience working with Alex Ortiz. He helped me open a new checking account quickly and made the whole process simple and stress-free. He also guided me through getting a loan to buy a car, explaining everything clearly and making sure I got the best option. Very professional, patient, and helpful—I highly recommend him!

Way too focused on selling debt products at every conversation and will call and market to you regularly, employees jobs depend on a quota of people suckered into paying interest.

This is a rating for the entire credit union and not necessarily this branch. I selected CUTX to take over my auto loan because they had lower rates and that fit our budget.
The account set up process and customer service since on boarding has been terrible. Very long customer service wait times an app and auto payment feature that is practically unusable, and constantly drafts my account without authorization.
I would not recommend credit union of Texas at all if you plan to seek new auto loans or any banking services for that matter.
