To enter the orbit of PNC Bank is to participate in a ritual of pure, mechanical efficiency and inexplicable human distance. It is a study in contrasts—a place where the physical infrastructure succeeds while the metaphysical exchange falters. There is a profound, almost mathematical beauty in the drive-thru lane. It is a portal of convenience that functions with the cold, reliable precision of a Swiss watch. If one seeks to move currency through a pneumatic tube without the burden of direct human friction, this is a triumph. It is the high-water mark of the experience: a seamless transition from the asphalt to the ledger. However, the architecture of the bank’s soul seems to have a structural deficit. Specifically, there is a recurring absence of the $2 bill. In a world of standard denominations, the $2 bill represents a certain level of preparedness and appreciation for the nuance of American currency. At this PNC location, that nuance is consistently missing. To ask for them is to look into a void; they are never on hand, as if the very concept of the "deuce" has been scrubbed from their reality. It is a small omission that creates a large, lingering sense of incompleteness. The human element here is... austere. One does not come here seeking the warmth of a neighborly greeting. The employees are not the friendliest people on this side of the earth; they exist in a state of professional stasis that borders on cosmic indifference. They are the guardians of the vaults, and they treat the customer with the same clinical detachment one might afford a passing cloud. There is no hostility, but there is no light—just the steady, gray pulse of a transaction being completed. PNC is a three-star experience because it fulfills its function while failing its spirit. I will return for the efficiency of the drive-thru and ATM deposits, but I will do so knowing that the $2 bills remain a myth and the smiles remain locked in a vault to which I do not have the key.

I have my personal account and my wife’s account and our both joint account here and we using PNC for last 5 years but the staff here are very lazy and I Spoke to three persons today everyone saying they only took the information and tell will call us back but don’t, when I’m trying to reach them again but they’re being very rude and during the conversation they cut the call intentionally,

Hey so Victoria, you should never start helping a customer with “I’m supposed to be gone what do you need?” ☺️

Banks make overdraft fees sound like a normal part of managing an account, but the way they use them feels like a scam. They charge people money specifically because they don’t have money, and many banks hit customers with a $34 overdraft fee every single time an account goes negative. Instead of helping their customers, they often abuse this system by reordering transactions so the largest one goes through first, triggering multiple overdraft fees from smaller purchases. This practice quietly brings in billions for banks, while regular people are left struggling just to cover basic needs. Even “overdraft protection” is misleading, because it doesn’t protect anyone—it just allows the transaction to go through so the bank can apply another fee. It shows that banks aren’t looking out for their customers at all; they’re looking out for profit.
