- JWJason WeaverJan 26, 20235.0PNC is the old Compass BBVA. I needed a "signature guarantee" which includes the Medallion stamp, so I tried a few areas out here where I live. All locations need you to have a bank account with them, which is difficult for those of us living in the ether. I even offered to pay for it at a few where I did not have an account. Anyway, PNC also requires this, so I figured my old BBVA account would work. It didn't, they couldn't find it. I drove 45 minutes to get there, so I just opened an account since I was very tired of trying to get a stamped signature. The good news is that the Maxx Smith, the banker, was really great to work with. I did open an account to get this stamp but Maxx made it worth it....so yeah, I'd use them if I lived in the Woodlands again.
