I visited this branch to open a Roth IRA and left feeling disappointed with the overall customer service.
I made an appointment in advance and checked in on time. After waiting, another customer was assisted before me. When I asked about this, I was told that the advisor may not have realized she had an appointment and was on lunch. There was no apology or clear explanation.
While waiting, I asked if there was any water available and was told it was in the front, along with coffee. Given the delay, it would have been helpful to have that offered earlier.
When I eventually met with an advisor, she was friendly, but I was given conflicting information about the delay. During our conversation, I explained that I wanted to open a Roth IRA, but the discussion shifted toward a CD, which is a very different product. When I asked whether there were any benefits or considerations for teachers, I was directed to read a general eligibility document that did not address my question.
At that point, I felt the guidance was unclear and decided to leave and try another branch.

I came in to do a wire transfer. The man I spoke with told me he wasn’t good at wire transfers and the other staff members were equally shaky on transfers. He then offered other solutions, none of which would work due to time constraints. It’s extremely frustrating when your financial institution can’t perform basic tasks. They also refused to raise my Zelle limit so I can handle the problem in another manner. I eventually had to go to a different branch.
On top of their app being antiquated and not offering functionality that many other bank’s apps offer, it may be time to move on from CUTX.

They wouldn’t let me make a deposit to my landlords account because I didn’t have their DOB. Even though I had several receipts from previous deposits with name and last digits of bank account. I’ve done this at many other locations and have never had any problems completing the transaction.

I ended up closing my account. Half of the time the app is not current and there is no way to avoid the 10 dollar monthly fee. I have only had bad experiences with this bank.
