  Greetings. Figured I would leave this review before I soon part permanently with Security State Bank and Trust. I don't write reviews often, but it was a pretty rough situation that I went through, and I figured I'd explain it a bit in case any others happen to be affected. Essentially I experienced a fraudulent use of my debit card. The amount of spent was roughly 700.00 dollars total. My debit card was used in Schertz, TX for all fraudulent spending done, which is roughly 2 hours away from where I actually live. I was told by the fraud team here that my chip was utilized or copied in someway, and they told me they were unable to assist because there was no way for a charge like that to occur without someone physically using the card. To be clear, I NEVER used my debit card. The only thing I would use it for was Costco because my credit card was not accepted, and I only used it once a month, 2 hours away from where the card was detected to have been used. Also to be clear, the debit card never left my wallet; even after the fraud instance I checked and always had it in my possession. All of this to be said, despite being a customer for roughly 7 years, and experiencing a very clear instance of fraud, Security State Bank was unable to assist at all. Their fraud claim with MasterCard was denied, and so I just had to incur the 700 dollar cost. I'm lucky enough now to be in a place in life where this amount wasn't debilitating for my finances, that being said, I certainly have been before, and there are thousands of people I'm sure where an unexpected 700 dollar charge could cause some major issues. This is obviously a one-off situation, I'm sure a majority of account holders will never experience anything like this. I know others that have had accounts here for much longer than 7 years, it's just luck of the draw. Just know that if a fraud issue does occur for you, Security State Bank may not be able to assist at all. There's no telling how bad it could of been if I had more in my checking at the time. That's all for me, just wanted to leave this to make sure people make an informed decision when choosing an establishment to trust their money with. Best.

  Our dealings with Christina Hopson, Mortgage Loan Officer at the Marble Falls office, were prompt, professional, and also fun. Ms. Hopson formerly worked in the Title business so she knows the business from both sides of the transaction, which is extremely helpful. I always felt she represented our best interests throughout the two transactions we worked with her, and I can whole-heartedly recommend Christina Hopson, her support staff, and Security State Bank & Trust.

  We love Security State Bank & Trust. Christina Hopson served as our Loan Originator and her professional assistance was excellent. Always working towards our personal goal, she made the process easy and kept us informed throughout...even on the day after Christmas, answering our questions with positivity and encouragement. We will always turn to Security State Bank & Loan 1st, when needing financial assistance. Local and loyal, they’ve earned our business for life. Thank you, Christina.

  Great bank! The staff are all very friendly and smiling, efficient at their jobs, knowledgeable with all the programs, take time and treat you as an important individual. Love my Security State Bank and Trust!
