- FCFreddie-Realty ConnectGroupApr 17, 20232.0I'm a licensed mortgage broker (have been for 20 years) and I have a mutual client who has been unable to walk in during "business" hours to retrieve some statements needed for his mortgage loan. Therefore, I had him sign a "Borrowers and Certification Authorization" to retrieve those for him. This document specifically states that I have the permission to verify employment, retrieve IRS tax transcripts, retrieve asset / bank statements on his behalf. The "banker", (I use this term loosely) not only NOT help me, she asked for MY identification. I handed it to her thinking she would verify my identity to retrieve those statements. Nope, she gave me the run around and said I had to call the 800 number to ask for those. She then told me that they would I worked at this branch, formerly BBVA, and I had zero problem with the other co-workers / bankers there to retrieve documents. My client, their bank customer, will be closing his account once his mortgage loan funds. This place is a shell of what it once was. This is my word of caution to other residents in the Lubbock area.
