- BSBrittany ShafferApr 11, 20205.0I am a new customer to this bank. I been with credit unions for years. The customer service is spot on very friendly staff answers any and all questions. The thing I don’t like is that my receipts no longer are texted to me. I miss that considering I don’t like receipts and I prefer paperless less clutter in my wallet. Minor thing I can deal with. All in all I am very happy very satisfied. I no longer have to pay to cash my checks at the credit union it was $4.00 every time I had a check cashed. Otherwise I would have stayed and been miserable. Thanks to the reviews of everyone I chose America State Bank. Hope my review helps others.

I checked other banks in town and just didn't get the personal feelings I expected from a small town bank. The second I walked into American State Bank, I was greeted with big smiles and "how can I help you" from 3 ladies who work there. When I explained what I needed to do, they directed me to specific people to handle each of my concerns. I had them take the mortgage on my house which was totally painless and I got a better rate than I had. I've moved automatic payments, direct deposits, etc., and it's all been handled like they're helping a family member as opposed to a customer who at other banks was treated like just another number. Amazingly, handling your banking at ASBTX in Lindale is enjoyable much unlike those 2 I left. It's awesome to walk into a bank and have them greet you with a smile and call you by name instead of acting like you're some stranger who has come in to ruin their day by asking them to take care of business. Such a pleasure to do business with them. A big thank you to all the ladies at American State Bank.
