I tried to deposit a check into my mom’s account to prevent her from going into the negative and they refused to do it. I spoke to the manager who told me they do not deposit third party checks even though I have been doing this for years. My mom has been banking with them since before the became PNC and we have never had this problem. I feel like the only reason they refused was so that they could charge her the 36$ overdraft fee because the next day she went to deposit the check and had no issues but by then it didn’t matter and they charged her. I’m truly glad I don’t bank with them. And when we have a chance my mother will be switching banks as well.

- SSSBFeb 18, 20251.0PNC now look for ways to not do notary service. Their customer service went way down, I felt like changing the bank. This is 2nd pnc I went to get the notary done but they didn't do it. Postnet had no issues doing notary.

Our cards took over a week to arrive, and during that time I tried to go to the bank to cash a check (to be able to buy groceries) and they refused to cash my check because we haven’t had an account for over a year. So you will not be able to cash a check EVEN if you have plenty of money in your account for over a year. Then we finally do get our bank cards and activate them, and mine gets declined several times. I call to see what the issue is and they tell me my balance is 0, which it wasn’t but she said it should be working now. I try the card again. Denied, they linked my card to the wrong account and I had to call three times to figure out the problem. So now we have had the account for 3 weeks and I still can’t use my card until next week. Also if you deposit a check they take a week to clear in your account. When we called to address these issues, we are told all of this is “normal bank procedure” which is completely not true. Both of my parents were branch managers of banks my entire life for different banks. Not one of those banks operated this inefficiently. They obviously do not care about their customers or addressing issues. DO BETTER
