If you can open a bank account without ever stepping foot into a bank, then you should be able to process a dispute without waiting for a form to arrive in the mail. How is it ethical to receive my DL, SS, address, and all other personal information online. Yet you cannot process a dispute online?
Just to reiterate: I was able to open three bank accounts without interacting with a human being.
I received a bank card, direct deposit and a mobile app all from typing my social security number in a website. You easily are able to receive my personal data and money, but make it difficult to process a refund without using methods from 1970.
I can double tap my power button on my phone and send $2500 to someone in seconds, but I can’t submit a receipt online?
Instead I have to wait an entire week after my dispute for you to even give the letter to the post office. Now I wait for it to arrive at my house like I’m 95 years old. No sense of urgency with correcting your balance, they only care about getting their hands on your money. It is in their best interest to keep your account balance as low as possible in order to cash out on the monthly fees they charge.
So why would PNC want to provide credit towards my account? As soon as this dispute is processed, I am finding another bank.
