Founded in 1941 in Fredericksburg, Texas, Security State Bank & Trust (SSB&T) is a community bank that understands Texas people and Texas businesses, because that’s what we are too. Now with 18 branches across the state, we offer all the products and services the big banks commonly do – made personal. We’re known for our friendly people, who always focus on service, not on sales. Whether you walk in or call, you’re immediately connected to a real person who can help you. We’ll walk you through options in personal checking and savings; business checking, savings and merchant services; mobile banking; credit cards; CDs; trust; wealth management; and loans including consumer, business, mortgage, farm and ranch, and SBA. Reach out today.
I have been customer of this bank for years and they have let me down in almost everyway possible. The systems they have in place are just buggy and unacceptable.
I was recently standard in Chicago by this bank because they blocked my card.
I called and told them in advance I would be on this trip. I was standard on a Sunday so I could not reach the bank or any customer service to unlock my card. I was logged into the banking app but it does not have a setting to unlock card once locked for security messure. I was suppose to receive a security alert I didn't.
I pulled my money out and opened a new bank. I did not close the account. I explicitly told them I do not want to approve payment that if I don't have the funds. They charged me 30 dollar over draft fee for approving a 3 dollar subscription I told them not to approve.
Customer service sucks.
Functionality sucks.
I will say they are great at scamming you of your money, inconvenienceing you and pretending to give a crap.

I dont recommend using this bank.
Horrible online banking, bad hours, bad card blocks, bad customer service.
There is no one part of this bank I recommend except that it is close to where I live. I highly highly recommend somewhere else.
