As a member this level of service is much appreciated! Definitely recommend exploring all the option given when you need to speak to member services.

I recently closed my account at a traditional bank in the hopes that opening an account with the Credit Union of Texas would offer better customer service. I was never told that depositing a check into my account with them would require an almost 2 week hold, for the first 60 days of opening the account, because the account was new, so I deposited a check and once I realised I couldn’t access it, called 2 customer service agents and was escalated to 2 supervisors who all refused to make an exception to release the funds, that I honestly needed. There are so many options of banks whose services to procure and this is a deal breaker for me, especially because the check I deposited is from the employer, I listed on my application and I was willing to provide the attachment that the check came with. I understand the need for policies and procedures, but above that there is a need to consider a case by case basis when there is a genuine, verifiable human need too.
