After checking out all the local banks, I transferred my savings from one of the BIG banks (paying 1 percent interest) to PNC (paying 4 percent). I'm not talking about CDs....this is on your savings. It was a no brainer. Jessica, at the Sycamore School Rd annex, called me the other day to say they were raising my interest rate. Has your bank ever called you with good news like that? If you're with one of the BIG guys, you should go see Jessica today. Or, you could continue to let them use your money and pay you 1%.
