Although I have strong credit, the interest rate I was quoted was much higher than what I later received elsewhere. During the process, a $2,500 warranty product and additional fees — including a $500 origination fee and a $150 documentation fee — were presented as part of the loan package. I was uncomfortable with the overall cost structure and chose not to proceed. After mentioning that I planned to explore options with my credit union, my application was withdrawn. I ultimately obtained financing through my credit union at a lower rate with fewer fees and a process that felt more straightforward to me. I encourage others to compare multiple lenders so they can choose the option that best fits their situation.
