Unfortunately, the employee who assisted me refused to provide the notarization without offering a credible explanation. The experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially as a customer expecting standard service. I hope the branch addresses customer service and communication going forward.

They reached out to me regarding a loan, not something I needed, but thought I would look into it to see if I could consolidate my student loans. I met the financial adviser and my meeting went well, essentially per our meeting I was going to be able to consolidate my loans and keep around the same interest rate (6-7%). When I received the email that said "Congratulations you have been approved for a loan!," I read a bit down further and saw that the proposed loan amount had dropped ~20K and not only that, but the interest rate was 9+%. Obviously I did not accept and the loan officer said that "her notes" showed that my loans were all above 9+% which is not true. I am writing a bad review not necessarily because of my experience, but because to me it seems like BBVA gets you into their office to discuss loans, makes you happy with the rates/terms, and then sends an email congratulating you with a completely different loan amount/interest rate hoping that some unaware member will bite without checking the terms.
