  I had IRA CD maturing at TDECU on Sept 17. I picked up the check (with trustee to trustee paperwork) as PNC representative assured me a 4.0 APY. When she was preparing her paperwork, she said she could only give us 3.7 APY. She acknowledged that she had quoted us 4.0 and referred it to the manager. He refused to give us quoted rate. We would have moved it elsewhere, but we had TDECU do the paperwork making it a transfer.

  Horrible customer service. I haven’t had access to my account since the change, and BBVA had screwed it up before that. This is beyond ridiculous! Run, don’t walk, to a different bank.

  Unfortunately, I ignored the negative comments posted by others about BBVA Compass bank and opened a checking account with them. I have checking accounts with BBVA, Chase, and Wells Fargo and BBVA Compass. While Chase and Wells Fargo are occasionally frustrating, BBVA treats customers with zero respect and borderline steals from them. One specific example: After opening my checking account, I ordered a box of checks from BBVA - cost was $46. A few weeks later, BBVA informs me that my account is being closed (no reason given) and that they will not refund the money for checks I purchased that are now useless. Please do yourself a favor and look at banking with any other bank. I ignored the negative reviews and paid the price.
