Dora Turek, manager of PNC on 620 at 4 points, and her assistant Amber, were very helpful to us in resolving an issue with PNC.

This review is for the branch manager Dora Turek, NOT the company. PNC as an organization and paticularly this branch have issues. I was a happy Compass Bank/BBVA customer for 20+ years. Ever since Pnc bought out BBVA it’s been kind of a nightmare. The Pnc CIO should be fired. Their systems are trash. There are always issues with the mobile app, and every time I go into the branch to get something done it takes a ridiculous amount of time for their staff to do things because the systems are so cumbersome and slow. As a company Their processes and policies are ridiculous at times and they place no value whatsoever on a personal relationship with a customer. Everybody is just a number. Furthermore they are grossly understaffed at the Four Points branch. On Tuesday This week I walked into the branch to initiate 4 international wire transfers and to open up a new bank account for a business I just started. It is now Saturday afternoon And after five visits to the Four Points branch and finally a visit to their Anderson Mill branch here on Saturday and after nearly 6 hours of total time elapsed in the bank I have finally gotten the four wire transfers processed and my new bank account open! This was primarily due to the staffing issues and the fact that these poor folks in the Four Points branch were drinking from a fire hose and literally just did not have enough time in a day to adequately serve customers. It’s also related to their systems and processes which again are very slow and cumbersome. All of that said the company is lucky to have some really great people who are doing the very best they can despite extremely challenging circumstances. I single Dora Turek there at the Four Points branch who is having to do the work of four people by herself. She’s doing it with a brave face and a good attitude and is going above and beyond to try to take care of everybody including me. She helped me get those four wires out the door in between dozens of other customers that she was trying to take care of. She also walked the paperwork and process through on getting my new account set up. She felt so badly that we were not able to get it done by the end of the business day on Friday that she actually came into one of the branches at Anderson Mill that happened to be open on a Saturday morning to finish up the process for me and get that account opened. My Hat is off to her again for going above and beyond! I will also say that Amber at the Four Points branch is fantastic and has a great And friendly attitude at all times again despite being completely overwhelmed and overworked. Finally there is Deanne who normally works at the Lagovista branch but who has been coming into the Four Points and Anderson Mill locations to try to pick up the slack again due to the woefully inadequate staffing. Once again this is an individual who is just fantastic with a great attitude and friendly demeanor. I hope the managers for these folks and Pnc as a company recognizes that they have individuals like these folks who are literally keeping customers like me from walking away and going to another bank. I’ve been so frustrated so many times since Pnc bought out BBVA I have been on the verge of closing all accounts and moving to a different Bank on several occasions. The only reason I have not fired Pnc is due to the efforts of people like this at the branch level who are trying So hard and have been so great despite crazy challenges and the the mess of a company they work for.

Customer support via telephone is literally non-existent, after navigating a Byzantine voice menu to select the option to talk to a rep, and holding 20 minutes for the privilege, the phone just rings and rings and rings. These people are not in the banking business in the 21st, regardless of what their ads say. Negative stars need to be an option.

Who shuts down a checking account for fraudulent charges and then doesn’t even issue a temporary debit card. I’m glad you got my back but when I become totally reliant upon you guys now to have money in my hands, that infuriating. I get covid affecting business hours, but when I can’t even pull money out of my account for a WHOLE WEEKEND, when I can barely even feed myself and my dog as it is, “You could’ve pulled it out yesterday on Friday” is what a “customer service” rep told me. Why thank you. I’m taking my business elsewhere. I’ve never ran into so many issues with a bank in just a year period. Not even just myself, my whole family too. Save your time and stress and get with a credit union. Worst bank I’ve ever banked with.
