Greater Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union has served employees of the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC, and other employers in the Pittsburgh Area since 1955.
The University of Pittsburgh was the original sponsor for the credit union. The University of Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union was founded November 25, 1955 and started in the basement of the Cathedral of Learning. In January 1992, the credit union changed its name to Greater Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union. For over 20 years, the credit union has been located in historic Webster Hall in Oakland. Today, we serve over 30 different employers in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
