- PPPritesh PatelMar 17, 20251.0Bank itself, nothing like customer service. I was new in US when I came in April-2024. I understand I did not have enough credit history and PNC provided secured credit card against blocking my 1500. It is over 6 months, even close to a year and PNC is not able to provide unsecured credit card after having my paycheck deposits for a year. Now I got other credit card and I do not need PNC-secured credit card. Hence I went to bank to pay the balance and cancel CC. Teller took the payment then told me to call the number on CC-back to cancel the card, they can't from the branch. I called 800 number and lady cancelled my credit card and told me that I'll receive cheque in mail after 60 days. WOW....... As soon as this drama started, I opened my salary deposit account in Wells Fargo-Oregon Pike (Next Block).

Fees are reasonable and in line with most major banks. Their basic banking products are essentially fee-free if you meet the minimum balance requirements. I do a lot of business with online-only banks, but it is still good to have a banking relationship with a local bank where you can talk in person to a human.
