  I have worked with my advisor at Dominion Securities for the past couple years. Dominion Securities was recommended to me and I have never looked back. They are the biggest brokerage in Canada, offer all services under one roof, knowledgeable and trustworthy, and my advisor is fantastic. She has given me peace and trust with my financial future. I highly recommend the London branch of Dominion Securities.

  One star does not allow for the stress caused by the irresponsible actions of our former" investment advisor" at RBC Dominion securities. There should be a minus section. We were placed in high risk funds even in our RSP's and we may never recover that money. We are not high risk clients, moderate risk at best. The other concern noted was there was no diversity so all of our funds were invested the same so each and every one had the high risk, big loss funds that we may be stuck with forever. When our capital losses negated having to pay income tax we should of asked why in a louder voice. When we expressed concerns we were told not to worry. We should have asked more questions, insisted on knowing what we were invested in, have each fund explained to us and pulled out of RBC Dominion Securities when we first had concerns. It placed our business at risk because we were unable to access funds without losing large amounts of money. It has put our financial future at risk . We went from a secure financial future to a precarious one while our advisor continued to collect his commission. Even though we are both over the age of retirement that is not an option at this time. We must continue to work. Only by the hard work of two dedicated RBC employees were we able to secure a mortgage and continue on. We have gone from being debt free to a substantial debt but our business is still intact and our employees and suppliers will get paid. Our funds are now in the hands of a responsible investment advisor who informs us of any changes, asks our opinion on which funds we should invest in and explains everything with each and every change. I never thought we would be in this position in our retirement years. I never envisioned us being in debt when we had worked so hard to be debt free. I am writing this so that others will ask more questions, not just trust blindly. I am writing this because I do not want anyone else to experience the stress and disappointment I have experienced over the last few months There appears to be no oversite of the reckless behaviour we experienced with our funds.
