  My escrow analysis on my mortgage changed my payment slightly. But, because I was out of town for an extended period of time the document was held at the post office and I didn't find out until after the first due date. Considering all of my payments are made from my bank and schedule to always arrive on time, I found out my account was short paid and a late payment was assessed. I immediately paid the short payment amount and adjusted to the new amount for all future payments. I asked to have the late payment fee waived. I was told I would be contacted to discuss. I was contacted a week later and told it is against company policy to waive late fees due to escrow analysis. I said, "What is an acceptable reason to waive a late fee? How about waiving it for someone who has never had a late payment? Is that acceptable?" "Sorry sir its against company policy." I don't dislike you enough to walk away from a 2.5% mortgage, but I do dislike you enough to give you 0 stars - although the system forces me to give you 1 star, which is against my company policy.

  Had an auto loan through Westfield from 2010 - 2016 and gave a fair rate and were easy to work with. Never had any issues when I asked for things like a changed payment date or whatnot. Was happy until after the last payment I called for the title and they informed me I had a $40 late fee on a late payment from 14 months earlier. First they had never notified me of it previously. Second they were auto-deducting from my checking account from day one so I am unclear as to how I am charged a late fee if they did not withdraw the money I authorized them to on time. A sheisty way to end what I thought was a good six year relationship. Enjoy that late fee because it cost you a customer for life!
