  I used to love this bank but this transition with CIVISTA bank has been the furthest thing from smooth. The documents sent have been misleading and now I am 30 min from home without a working debit card since now our numbers/cards are invalid and no longer active. The documentation states you can start activating new debit cards today but you have until March 31st to activate. Why have that as a deadline if the cards shut off on a Monday??? Not to mention hours changing and they are not updated online. Beyond frustrated

  Their slogan, "The Bank with a Personal Touch" is accurate IF they are talking about touching/taking your money. Had a 5 month CD come due, they stuck me in a 6 month that was paying 1/2 the interest, and yes, the 5 month was available at the time. I had to call in to get them to change something that should never had happened. Just as greedy as any other bank, without the convenience of multiple branches close by. There is no longer a 'local' bank that cares a bit about its customers, so go to a big bank instead of these pikers.

  If 0 was an option , it would be 0 stars. This bank froze a family members account who had passed away , less then 24 hours of his passing off of hear say . There was no death certificate, or obituary out yet , and has put a huge hard ship on my family members spouse . My family has asked questions and got nothing but rude remarks from bank workers there . Very disappointed with this bank and their customer service. They do not care about their members clearly if they are putting grieving families in more difficult situations
