CME Federal Credit Union was established in 1935, serving City of Columbus Firefighters and Police Officers. A lot has changed since we first opened our doors. But our commitment to the financial futures of our members is as strong as the day we started. At first they were great though as I grew older they were less and less supportive and routinely made me feel like a little girl who was inadequate of making financial decisions and routinely talked down too. When attempting to get a car loan at the age of 22 I was required to have not one but both parents sign on to support. Was told that though my income was fine, I was still young.. still I stayed with them out of loyalty. Within the last two years I routinely had issues with fees added to my accounts without notice. Every time I called in to get it changed a few months later it would get changed to a different fee requiring account. Lastly when I was tired of all the fees and jumping through hoops I withdrew all my funds and closed my accounts entirely. Only to find out months later they never properly closed my account and I had been accruing fees. When I went in they admitted that it was their fault the account was never properly closed. I was told I was still at fault I had fees due to the fact that I neglected to let them know that I moved after closing my accounts and did not update my addresses with them after closing. They continuously showed me that they were more focused on making money than keeping me as a customer.
