- SLSteve LuehrmannApr 12, 20232.0I’m a disappointed new customer. My preparer was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. They have reasonable fees; however, I just filed my city taxes, and mistakes on that alone have given me pause: 1. The form provided to me for city taxes was for the incorrect city. 2. I was told I owed $116 to the incorrect city - which she highlighted with yellow marker - but the amount on that line was how much I paid. The amount owed line was actually $0. 3. I was then provided forms for the correct city, which were revised today by the city tax office, where a net loss of $1,379 was eliminated. So I went from being told I owe $116 to $611, then another $31 on top of that. It’s not the end of the world, but I now feel the need to scrutinize my state and federal taxes. Edited to add: The city tax summary provided by the preparer is correct. Unfortunately, in the office, she printed the wrong city filing and verbally provided the incorrect number and form
