  I initially had a great impression of Michael at Westchester Accounting Services. He appeared knowledgeable, was communicative, and had a warm, family-oriented demeanor during our initial meetings, which made us eager to hire him as our CPA for both our business and personal tax returns. Michael was helpful during the filing of our business extensions, but things took a turn when it came time to file our personal extension. I had provided all the necessary documents well in advance, but the day before the deadline he reached out and informed me that he hadn’t had time to prioritize our extension, choosing instead to focus on long-term clients. He mentioned that since we were extending, it wasn’t a significant issue. However, his lack of concern for our estimated payment left me feeling blindsided. Instead of providing guidance based on the information I supplied, he suggested making a payment equal to 120% of the previous year’s amount, despite our earnings being significantly lower this year. When I expressed my concerns about the estimate being too high, he dismissed them, saying none of his other clients had issues with similar payments. Our phone conversation was tough, and I was caught off guard. I proceeded to make what I believed might be owed and informed him of the payment, but he never responded. After following up several times over the summer with no reply, my recent call ended abruptly, as I believe he hung up on me. Given this experience, I find Michael's lack of professionalism unacceptable. Despite the challenges presented during our conversation, he failed to communicate effectively or acknowledge my inquiries afterward. I expected more from a CPA and would not recommend his services based on how this situation was handled.

  We finished our 2024 tax fillings with Michael and we could not have been more pleased. In regards to pricing, it was extremely fair. We paid more than double last year for just a personal filing and did not receive the quality of service and work that we received with Michael. He filed our two business LLC’s and our personal taxes for a great price. We are extremely grateful and thankful to have found Michael his wonderfully professional and experienced services. We would recommend anyone looking for an accountant with real estate experience.

  I did not have good feelings about this guy from the onset. Soon after, I found him to be UNRELIABLE, APATHETIC, and simply UNPROFESSIONAL because he Didn't Follow Up, Return Phone Calls or Emails. Everything which I just stated can only be the beginning. It seems this accountant will do almost anything he sees fit and subsequently he feels he's impervious to any consequences because he is capable of saying anything; and it is not known what to expect from him. In conclusion, I would advise anyone looking to hire a CPA or the like should get a referral from a friend or someone you know well.
