    I have been banking at NYCB for over 20 years and have several accounts. The tellers are good. Sandra is efficient, personable, helpful and professional. However the bank is under staffed. Sometimes there are not enough tellers to serve customers! The employees there have to multi task. Thus customers must wait for specific services. I am patient but I feel management is responsible for this! That's why I gave 4 stars. Hoping Flagstar will take notice or lose customers!

    I think this branch is very effective and professional...always a pleasure of how well they get things done. This coming from someone who once worked for banks.

    I visited this branch on a Saturday to open 5 accounts. I had all my paperwork in-hand, brought the whole family, and was only able to open two accounts because the employees did not know how to use the system. I wasted 2.5 hours in the process and they said they would notify me when the tech issue was resolved and we could return to the bank to finish opening the accounts. Nobody called after a few days so I had to call to inquire. They then asked us to return the following Saturday before 2pm and that all we would need to do is sign some paperwork and be finished quickly. We went to the branch at 12:50 pm and was told that the bank was closing at 1pm that day, so we would need to come back yet again, despite the fact that they told me opening the accounts "would not take long" and that all we needed to do was sign some paperwork. Why couldn't they go one step further and just take care of it, especially since I was so inconvenienced already? This past Thursday, the bank called my wife to confirm our appointment that day that would finally end this process. Again they made it seem like they were prepared and that the remainder of the process would be effortless. This was not the case. It took another 1.5 hours to complete the process and I had to remind them to issue account numbers and starter checks. Plus they told me that the account I successfully opened the week previous was incomplete and they needed to enter more information! The employees at this branch are very nice, but the operation is extremely sloppy. Like the other commenters, customer service is very poor and perhaps new leadership could remedy this. I hope NYCB corporate reads these reviews and takes corrective action.

    I've been going here for years and in multiple, recent occasions, the staff has been rude to me. I don't know if these are new staff members but that doesn't excuse their rudeness and unprofessionalism.
