I had put enough funds in the account to cover my apartment rent. I opened the account a day or so afterwards to discover that the bank had charged to my account ,$,10.00. for an ATM card. .in the meantime my rent check. Bounced because of this . I called bank. Was told the maager was at lunch and he would call me back. HE DID NOT .I called three times that day .then finally went into the branch I saw. The staff. Talking amongst themselves ,. When I asked to speak to manager. The lady who waited on me said He was busy.... She admitted the bank made a mistake. By charging for an ATM card and a $35.00 charge for returned check . I told her and produced proof. That ALSO. the company office for my apartment also charged me for returned check. Plus a late charges. . so now I am in debt for more than $100.00. and was told by the woman at BBVA that. They where sorry but. There was nothing they. Could do about that. I AM ON A FIXED INCOME I told her .. sorry she said. I got a cashier's check wichmy apartment office would not accept or a check from this bank. I was obliged to go to albq to get a cashier's check to pay my rent. I'm glad that some of you may have had good experiences,. But for me it was very stressful,. And I would NOT recommend this bank . I also am contacting their corporate office . I will be writing until I get satisfaction ... Catherine A Centeno.
