I had an issue with a mobile deposit and called the Truist 800 number for assistance. They told me to contact my local branch, which I did. Unfortunately, the branch representative didn’t ask me any questions or gather any information about the issue. Instead, she suggested I make an appointment to come into the branch so we could call the same 800 number together.
I don’t understand the purpose of that. If there was nothing she could do to help or even attempt to look into the issue, why waste my time coming in just to make a phone call I’m fully capable of making myself? I expected at least some effort to assist or explain the limitation.

Love this bank overall but this particular branch has fallen with customer service. Usually are waiting too long (minimum 25 minutes) with minimal staff, single person assist with customers needs. Managment is usually locked in their offices.
