- RMRebecca MDec 30, 20254.0I've been using the PNC Bank branch in Wakefield fairly often, as the branch in Wake Forest closed a few years back. It is located in the Wakefield Commons shopping center. The branch has an outside ATM, drive-thru, and the lobby is also open during the week. The employees have been friendly the times I have needed to go inside to complete transactions. The ATM is normally more convenient for me, since this location isn't near me and hard to get to when open. The ATM thankfully can handle most transactions, including deposits of cash or checks. For withdrawals, it even has a bill select. if you would like a variety of denominations.

It is nearly impossible to get ahold of someone on the phone via thier automated phone system (I was placed on hold for 10 minutes with no hold music completely unaware of what was happening until I finally hung up). And when I went in the branch to close my business account, they couldn't close it because I didn't have a perfect balance of zero. I couldn't withdraw the money and then close it because the account needed a day to process the withdrawal. They also couldn't close my credit cards associated with the account. I had to do it myself by phone. At this point what is the point of having an inperson branch? It's useless. If you are considering opening an account with PNC don't. They don't do anything well in banking.

I had to repeat the recipients name 10 times. I even wrote it down and they still kept getting it wrong. Also this is the first time I’ve went to a bank and need to show a second form of ID for a cashiers check. The reps as well as the managers have terrible attitudes and do not have customer service at all. Please bank elsewhere
