My aunt, who is in heart failure and currently has a coley line through her gal bladder, was asked for ID, her debit card from another institution, and then told her she needs to come in and open an account to deposit money into my account. This is a bi monthly event as I assist her and my mother with dementia with their financial handlings. The amount is not astronomical, perhaps $300 monthly. Whomever she spoke to and invasively asked for all her personal information made an appointment for her, because my aunt - not knowing any better - believed her. Paper form of monetary payment? Yes a lot of banks do this but to be told that she must have an account to deposit to mine? Absolutely false. This was confirmed by corporate. This is a sorry excuse to drive in sales and to poach at the population that may be ill informed and just trying to get by and do their monthly bill payments from their SSI funds. This branch should be ashamed and I will pursue legal action if able.
