Worst bank ever. You cannot reach anyone by phone. They put you on hold and never come back. I closed my account and went to PNC Bank.

Worst Bank Ever. Started back in 2014 with BB&T, they were bad, Truist is worse. Uncessary fees, bad customer service, mistakes, you name it. Looking for a new bank.

This is a long read, but maybe it will be helpful for someone. I called on Tuesday to set an appt for Friday to discuss a HELOC loan and I was told to arrive at 2:00 pm. I was NEVER told to bring certain documents but knowing that they obviously would need to verify income I brought along all of my 2024 tax returns. I arrived and was told to be seated and almost immediately a very pleasant lady by the name of Mrs. Jackson invited myself and my wife into her office. She said that she does not handle these particular loans, that Jennifer Allen handles these and she is the “HELOC Queen.” She said that Mrs. Allen was unavailable but she would start the application and forward everything to Mrs. Allen. I thought this to be odd because I had set the appt time 3 days earlier and Mrs. Allen didn’t feel the need to make herself available. Anyway, assuming that something came up, as happens to us all, we proceeded. Everything went well until Mrs. Jackson informed me that they needed 2 yrs of verifiable income and I told her that I would bring that document by the following week. On Monday the bank was closed for a holiday and I couldn’t make it by on Tuesday. I arrived on Wed to find that there was only 1 teller handling customers at the counter and 1 teller handling the drive thru window. I waited my turn in line and finally approached the counter and informed the nice lady that I had a document that Mrs. Allen needed to make a copy of and she glanced over in the direction of Mrs. Allen’s office and said “I will send her a message to let her know that you are here and “if” she responds I will let you know. So I sat briefly and noticed that Mrs. Jackson was in her office with a client so I knew immediately that she wasn’t an option. After a few minutes had passed I could quickly see that this was going nowhere fast so I walked out. I sent Mrs Allen & Mrs Jackson an email telling them to just discard the information up to this point and I would go to another location to get it done because with Mrs. Allen’s availability in the future being uncertain to me, this was unacceptable. Mrs. Allen returned my email to say that she was indeed at the location and is ALWAYS available to her clients 😳 she said that anyone there could have made a copy of the document and put it in her box or passed it on to her. True… except for the fact that the offer was NEVER made to do so. To wrap this novel up I must say that Mrs. Jackson could NOT have been more helpful, but Mrs. Allen… I have NO idea because to this day I still have never met, nor spoken with her? That 1.9 rating for this location seems to be awfully high, I can’t help but wonder if possibly the employees are sending in “positive reviews “ in an effort to maintain that impressive 1.9 rating? Anyway, I implore you to avoid this location at all costs, unless you are retired and have a LOT of disposable time on your hands. This branch in particular is pathetic.
