I tried to set up a business checking account with PNC online which worked well enough at first but I had issues accessing the online and mobile banking. It really shouldn't have been a big deal but they made it impossible to speak with any support over the phone because I couldn't verify the phone number because the one they had was a Google Voice number even though they
also had my regular phone number.
The only way to fix this was to go in person to have it corrected on my account. When I did that, I waited for maybe a half hour the bank really didn't look that busy there were a few people but then the lady told me I'm probably going to end up waiting too long and I should just go to another branch so I left.
The online support is completely useless. Despite the individual having the title "Customer Solutions Specialist" all they actually did was tell me I had to go in person to a physical location which I don't have a lot of time for.
Even when I did get the online banking set up, I couldn't add an account to to make transfers, I had to go in person to verify with an ID. Essentially they're a waste of time, they have nonsense policies, and they're not too interested in helping their customers and so I closed my account and I'll take my business elsewhere.

My first experience with this bank is not what is reflected in these reviews. Annette, the branch manager, spent 2 hours helping me set up a business checking account. There were several hiccups, but she persevered until the account was set up. She walked me through setting up online banking and the PNC app. We set a follow-up appointment for a month from now. I will update my review if something changes but I am not expecting it to.
