As the fourth Missouri branch, Midtown held its grand opening the week of March 3, 2014. On March 4, branch manager Brian Bruns presented a Capitol Federal® Foundation gift to Operation Breakthrough to support children. The gift was to further facility improvements, including outdoor and indoor play equipment and medical kits. Chairman Dicus and Brian Bruns announced the partnership created between the bank and the Kansas City Art Institute with the sponsorship of classes and the display of students' art in the office.
