  Phil Thompson’s has been the easiest and quickest place to get my taxes done! While in college I received a stipend that I was taxed on (and had no clue how to handle it with my taxes) and one of the workers, Taylor, helped me with it all! She handled it all, reached out to me if she needed something extra from me, and was very quick and efficient with it! I trusted her with my taxes and it was well worth it when I got my return! She put in the time to help me and I am very appreciative! As a college student there were different things I forgot to mention or give her and she caught it all. Highly recommend this place for taxes. I could not be more impressed with the quickness, professionalism, and helpfulness that everyone there displayed!

  We are a dual military household, also a healthcare worker and doctoral student who went to PTA for 2021 taxes. We were initially give a new CPA- Taylor who was not very knowledgeable or helpful in helping us find tax benefits for army, healthcare workers, or doctoral students. We then asked her to help us with tax write offs for our career and military expenses, she was also unable to help with this, even though we provided the information for tax relief. Then we went to her supervisor- Lindsey who was unprofessional and rude in most email communication we had with her. We have been paying taxes for 20+ years and have never had a CPA/tax preparer that were as incompetent and negligent as these 2 at PTA. Unfortunately PTA were highly recommended from family and friends but they just could not provide. I am shocked at the unprofessional and rude attitudes that Lindsey portrayed in her emails; she continued to blame the IRS, our past CPA, and us for the tax issues...but never once took any accountability for their failures. We reached out to Phil Thompson hoping to receive a refund for the incompetence and unprofessional demeanor of his employees--we hope he does the right thing and stand by PTA work--although we have basically performed all the work and calls to the IRS ourselves. We have always paid taxes early and without any penalties...this year we have had to submit extra forms and call the IRS even with PTA completing our taxes. WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND OR USE IN THE FUTURE. I ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO FIND ANOTHER CPA.

  If I could give zero stars I would. After utilizing Turbo Tax and seeing that we owed a substantial amount in taxes we decided to utilize Phil Thompson & Associates to get their expertise to lower our tax bill. Not only did they come back with the exact number I received in turbo tax we had to pay a significant fee to them for their substandard work and also months later we continue to receive letters from the IRS stating that they were completed incorrectly and still owe money. The first IRS letter we received Phil Thompson & Associates blamed the IRS for messing up and did fix the issue but now after receiving another IRS letter they are unwilling to assist and are not standing by their work. Steer clear of this organization at all costs and just use Turbo Tax for the same results and better customer service.
