  Think twice before going to this bank, they said I altered a check i was depositing, they called the other bank found out it was not altered. Then when the other bank said they would even fill out forms to make the check deposit faster, 1st united declined to do it and then told me that they have a right to hold the funds even after they found out I did not alter the check and that in 7 days they would see if it cleared even though the money was already taken from the other bank. I can only assume it was either my last name or that was wasn't snobbish like they are that they still have my funds on hold.

  1st United is one of the very last community banks left. Decisions are made at the bank and not in Minneapolis etc. I have been a customer for over 30 years and have been very happy. They financed a home for me when I was new in town when the others wouldn't. Since then I have been very loyal. They have always treated me and my family like family..
