- GMGeri MorenskiDec 30, 20251.0I have been a customer of PNC for decades. Suddenly my drivers license is no longer sufficient identification to conduct any banking business. They want a debit card which I neither have nor want. I went in today to get cash, order checks and handle a cd that had matured on 12/24. I had bank printed order form for the checks, bank printed withdrawal with my name on it, and the letter about the cd with me. Despite that, I was told that I need another firm of id. I began closing out my accounts today. I have had minor problems in the past, but I have never been turned away because I only have a valid drivers license as identification. Not everyone has a debit card or carries alternate identification.
