- KAKaren K AmidonAug 28, 20255.0I just opened a personal checking account with this bank on a Saturday, no less. Yes, not just the drive-thru, but the lobby was open on a Saturday. I was waited on by the nicest young man (Kyle) who helped me get it all set up, and before I left, presented me with a workable debit card. I think PNC is going to be my new favorite bank.
- MBMatt BairAug 12, 20251.0I have numerous valid complaints for pnc bank. First I've been waiting for a hotel deposit returned for 6 months. 100 dollars. The bank keeps saying contact the hotel when I already have several times, and they said the incidentals hold was released the day of checkout. The tellers at the bank said "oh well it could take up to 30 days or longer! Apparently 6 months isn't long enough and nobody at the bank can tell me anything at all about it. Call the hotel they say. The tellers here are completely incompetent, they will give you false info leading to several trips to the branch and stress jumping through hoops only to find out you were right from the beginning and these tellers will flat out make stuff up and or give you false info just to get you to leave. There's zero customer support. Zero effort or accountability on the banks part. Instead of saying "I don't know the answer, but let me find out" no, they'll just make up and spit out false info as to not look like the clueless idiots they are. I had a teller tell me my debit card wasn't working because "I must be putting in the wrong pin!" I know my pin lady it's not that, sent away with no help only to come back the next day and was told they cancelled the card n sent a new one and that'll arrive in a few days WITHOUT TELLING ME why? If you don't watch your account like a hawk THEY WILL steal from you!
