- RMronald myersOct 17, 20235.0I had been a customer of Wells Fargo since the 1980’s and now an extremely happy customer of Flagstar Bank. Recently I had a problem with my checking account and was unable to access it due to removing my wife who passed away from the account. Alexis Musselman was very happy to help me get set up with all that I needed .She made me feel like she really cared and was very happy to help me. Super Bank!!

My wife and I were Wells Fargo customers for 6 years prior to Flagstar taking over and it's been nothing but poor/abusive service since then. (Abusive is at the end of the 3rd paragraph... keep reading.) Today was the WORST!! My Bride of 36 years passed away 2 weeks ago. I went in to try and set up an "Estate" account so that I could use her final paycheck. They informed me that I need to see a lawyer. Fine. So be it. The WORST part was that there was absolutely no condolences offered for my loss!!! Everywhere else that I've had to go to finalize her business... her employer (HR and Payroll), the SS Office, a cpl of CPA's, and even the lawyer over the phone, all offered me their condolences. But not the staff at Flagstar/Sturgis. Not one word of comfort from either of the managers that tried to help me today. In fact, when I said in frustration that, "I'll go broke before I have access to this check!" One of them offered a stupid grin and said, "That's how it is sometimes." After the dust settles, it's time for me to find a new bank.
