- RFRhonda FrostJan 7, 20261.0I have been a longtime customer of Flagstar bank. I have 3 accounts with direct deposit in all 3, and they refused to cash 2 checks my son got from his grandparents for Christmas. The checks total $250. I have way more than that in my bank account. I have never even had a bounce check. They no longer do anything for their customers. They don't have enough locations, and are apparently on shaky ground, as they merged with another bank. I do not recommend opening accounts with them. I'm about to close mine and find a bank that takes care of their customers.
