  They froze my account because when I opened the account online I had not signed a “signature card”. Despite having the account for 5 months and being in the branch multiple times I was never told to fill out the card. All of the sudden I’m traveling in NYC and my credit card is getting declined because they returned my payments despite having $5000 in the account. Then I was told it was my fault because I didn’t read a fine print boilerplate email that was sent 6 months ago. The branch was then not able to “unfreeze” my account essentially locking me out of my money. Terrible service and not a reliable bank. Go elsewhere. Update: It is now a week since my account was frozen—still frozen. Apparently the “online account” department has no phone number and no one at the branch has any real managerial authority or is able to call anyone on the phone to get the issue resolved. I’m still being blamed by the “assistant manager” that it’s my fault because I did not read the fine print in a single boilerplate email that was sent 6 months ago . She has made zero effort to escalate this issue to a senior person with any authority.

  Great bank! Super friendly staff. Gordana is a great help and has gone above and beyond to serve our banking needs. We left BoA and regret nothing. The online services are easy to use and I love having a checking and saving account at the same bank. Flagstar makes transfers easy. The only thing I don't like is their drive up ATM. It's hard to reach the screen if you're not in a big SUV or other large vehicle. Thankfully I discovered the button to transfer control to the smaller screen
