- GCGrace CalabreseJan 6, 20242.0I have been an ESB customer for over 40 years. Next week I have 2 CDs maturing. Not only is the renewal rate ridiculously low compared to current market rates, but I am not eligible for their higher rate CD unless I deposit 'new money'. I inquired if I could simply withdraw the funds and redeposit and was told 'no, that 's still old money'. So basically I'm being penalized for being an existing customer. This is a lousy way to treat people and I will be withdrawing the funds from both CD's next week when they mature and will deposit them with a more customer-friendly bank. Very disappointing customer service and care for clients.
