Horrible customer service from one of the tellers, Andrea. I came in to deposit a check and cash into my husband’s account, which it is a joint account. I am also a signer on that account. As soon as I mentioned it was for him and we had filled out the proper endorsements, she stopped and refused to process my transaction; became dismissive, passive aggressive, and combative. She kept interrupting me before I can tell her that it was a joint account and didn’t even give me a chance to show the endorsements on the check either. I chose to just walkout and leave instead of fighting. She must work on her people skills, that was just horrible customer service for someone that just simply wants to deposit money into my own account. I cannot trust this bank to even deposit money into it anymore.

Just got off of the phone with one of the tellers Heidi and I am currently in need of assistance with getting access to my PNC account since, my previous card has just been canceled today, 12/09/2025.
Heidi confirmed with me that their location no longer prints the automatic card, however, I can have the new card digitally installed on my mobile app and I can have that installed on my Apple Pay wallet while I wait for my new card to come in the mail.
I was only willing to go with that option because this branch location is the closest to me. In my current situation, with Apple Pay being all I use, aside from my refillable pay card, I have no access to any other funds except the pay card. The $9 I have on said pay card, would not be able to financially get me to any other location since I don’t have a current PNC bank card.
Heidi then informed me that their manager, who is the only one qualified enough to help me set up the new card on my apple wallet, is on a break and it may take a while, up to an hour until they return. She said unfortunately, the rest of the team on staff for today are all tellers and one floater. Heidi even advised that I go to the Columbia location, although I told her how tough that would be for a person that is new to their environment and only have $9 as a backup. I stressed over and over about my fear of being stranded out this area, in the cold and no way of getting home. She just kept saying that they could try but there’s no guarantee of success with the digital option that she originally suggested to me, due to the current available staffs being untrained in that area.
The bus is showing me an almost 2 hours route to a 20 minutes drive from my location to the Columbia location. I reexplained to Heidi that I am new to the area and I have a solid $9 on the only other card I have, my pay card. I can literally only afford to make it to their location with my identification and prior physical bank card in order to get access to my account again and I can financially be ok.
If the manager is the only one qualified, then why would they take a straight one hour break? Why not split that into two 30 minutes breaks?
I am so shocked, I still cannot believe that the conversation between Heidi and I was legit. As someone who has been a PNC customer for 10 years+, they are literally the only bank I know; how is it possible that a place of business is not knowledgeable enough about the services that the business offers?
This is not frustration to Heidi, at all. Heidi was very courteous the entire conversation. This is frustration towards management, what is going on?! If you want freedom as a manager, that is no problem, we are all humans and deserve a break. All I ask is that the manager trains their staff in handling more customer’s needs, before deserting the establishment and giving customers the need to write such long complaints.
