  I have banked here for years and have been unhappy for years but didn’t want to bother changing until today. I’ve had problems depositing money as well as having technical issues online several times. Additionally they have never been able to get my debit card working though I have gone several times to get it fixed. Today we went to open bank accounts for the kids. Their website says we need our IDs as well as the kids’ SSN numbers. But when we got there Harry told us we need SS CARDS AND BIRTH CERTIFICATES. So despite dragging both kids to the banks with their money in hand, we had to leave. Btw Rockland bank doesn’t have those requirements because the kids aren’t in charge of the accounts. All we needed were social Security numbers. Will be closing our Middlesex federal account now.

  Do NOT bank with this bank or their partner Novo. After experiencing unauthorized activity, my funds were not secured as expected. The bank stated they would “attempt” recovery but ultimately placed responsibility on me, citing account security. I am still out the stolen money. This experience raised serious concerns about customer protection and accountability.

  Zero Communication, Zero Support Attempted to set up a business account for our nonprofit organization. Successfully created login credentials but never received any follow-up communication, confirmation emails, or next steps from NOVO. After several weeks of silence, attempted to log in to complete the account setup and was met with "incorrect password" errors. No password reset options worked, no customer support response, nothing. For an organization that needs reliable banking infrastructure to process donations and manage operations, this level of communication failure is completely unacceptable. Business banking requires responsiveness and reliability - NOVO provided neither. Switched to Relay and had fully functional business checking and savings accounts operational within 30 minutes, with actual customer support and clear processes. If you're considering NOVO for nonprofit or small business banking, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. When your financial operations are on the line, you need a platform that actually responds to customers.

  My partner and I bought our first home together this past Spring and worked with Frank Prinzivalli from Middlesex Federal Savings. Frank was incredibly professional, patient (we asked a lot of questions as first time home buyers), and knowledgeable about the process.   I've had a HORRIBLE experience with the customer service department at NOVO. I've honestly loved their product UNTIL I started receiving payment by check. MULTIPLE times now, I've deposited a check after 5pm on a business day only to receive a HOLD for more than 4 business days on the funds to even register in my account and then another 3+ business days wait if I make a payout on those funds. This is an unreasonable amount of time to wait on funds as a small business.
