  My last name is legally hyphenated with my maiden and spouse's last name. If that's also you, be prepared to ensure they are VERY clear that your hyphenated name is what your taxes should be filed under, or steer clear entirely. We filed jointly and they reported my name incorrectly to match my spouse's, not the hyphenated name which was on literally *every* single piece of documentation we provided. The IRS then contacted us to verify the return was legitimate. I would think it would be pretty obvious to a tax professional that the exact name on my driver's license & W2 should be the name they file under, but it would appear not. Once I contacted the IRS, the return processed correctly. We had a fine experience otherwise.

  I’d filed taxes here (married filing jointly + small business) for years, but unfortunately will have to find another place to go. First, the lady I used left. Then I was switched to a new person. We had always communicated by email, so when I needed to file an extension, I emailed. No reply. Follow up. No reply. Emailed owner, got a reply. He said that employee was no longer with them and would take over my case. It would’ve been nice to know the employee had left so I wasn’t emailing an empty void. The owner said we had until May 15th this year. So I reached out again by email a few weeks later when I needed to file the extension. It is now June 7th, I have yet to hear back. As far as I know, no extension was filed for us in our name and now we have the added worry of what will happen. There has been no communication...
