I took my elderly mother to the scottsville rd branch of pnc to get a debit card replaced. They had a young man as what I assume was a door greeter, one cashier, and two people in the back doing I don't know what. I explained to the door greeter why we were there and was told to have a seat. We sat down to wait. There were 3 people in line when we came in and two more came in after. Meanwhile there was a customer that had been sitting so long he had fallen asleep in the lobby. I asked the young man how long it would take for a simple card replacement he went to speak with the people that were in the back and came back and told us we would then have to wait in line this is after more people had come in so we had to wait longer. I watched as the cashier was struggling to deal with not only the customers in the lobby but also the drive-thru with all these other people doing nothing to assist. The door greeter was finally told to help customers while the two in the back finished there business. When they did they neither one assisted customers and one lady came out and told us after waiting that we would have to sit and wait more cause a card would have to be replaced by a branch manager. Now frustrated because I had only 10 minutes left to get my mother to the doctor I ask how much longer would we have to wait. We were told another 15 to 20 minutes. I had to leave and offered to take my mother back after her appointment but she decided to have a card mailed instead of waiting almost an hour for a replacement card. Now she has to wait 7-10 days for it to be mailed. My mother has banked with pnc since before they were pnc. Shame on you for the way you treat your customers.

I’ve been a customer for 39 years. Today I went in to get money to give as Christmas gifts. I wrote a check on my PNC checking account (inside the bank) and took it the teller to cash. I had my driver’s license out as identification. He first asked me if I had a debit card. I told him I didn’t, but I showed him my driver’s license. He said I needed two forms of identification. I was astounded.
Go to the PNC on Fairview Avenue. They don’t pull shenanigans like this.

Their hours do not support working families and they care more about leaving on time then taking care of customers. We arrived at 11:50 am and waiting 30 minutes to be told they could not serve us and to schedule an appointment. We are now looking to change banks to a bank that takes care of their customers. Do not recommend.
