Capitol Federal's 35th branch, 16th in greater Kansas City and third in Shawnee, opened in April 2003 at Shawnee Crossings, 22400 Midland Drive, K-7 Highway and Shawnee Mission Parkway. The 5,200 square-foot, full-service branch offers three drive-up teller windows and a drive-up ATM. Branch manager Janet Baggett hosted a June 3rd ribbon cutting, welcoming Bank employees, Shawnee Chamber members and Shawnee government dignitaries. During a radio remote, Janet declared, "Capitol Federal considers it a privilege to be a 30-year member of the Shawnee community and to be a part of the Shawnee expansion westward."
