Instead of being understanding, the representative I spoke with came across as rude and aggressive, asking for “proof” in a harsh tone and showing little empathy for my situation. I completely understand that they have policies and need documentation — but the way a customer is treated matters, especially when we are going through something stressful. I hope management sees this and reminds their staff that professionalism and compassion go a long way. I’ve had great experiences in the past, so I’m hoping this was just a one-time issue and that future interactions will be handled with the same kindness and respect I used to receive.
