Derby Marketplace became CapFed's 40th location, and the seventh in the greater Wichita area. The Capitol Federal® Foundation presented a gift to the Derby School District USD-260 toward the purchase of "Smart Boards" throughout the district. The check presentation was made twice, the first being made prior to the Derby High School football game on October 3. Following the presentation, employees tossed Capitol Federal footballs to the crowd. One customer remarked on the bank's entrance into Derby, "I'm so glad Capitol Federal is here. We've been waiting for you.
